Don't Sleep but Sleep to Succeed

"...and if needed then don't sleep! Work! Keep reaching for your dreams!" - is a powerful message which many practice, but take care of your health!
How mad is it to continuously fight for your first success, to fight and succeed in your first business, to fight and achieve financial independence, to fight and build a massive empire only to fall asleep in your car while driving and have a car accident and lose everything that you have worked so hard for (not to mention the impact on your family)?

I crashed my car today, because I was pushing myself hard every day and getting only about 4 hours of sleep. Staying awake with caffeine basically, yawning all the time. After a week of this it seems the body had enough and a couple of times i closed my eyes when driving but opened them straight away, but then at some point I opened them at the moment i am smashed into the car in front of me. Luckily this was in the high traffic section of the high way so just bumper damage, but if this happened on the high speed section I might not be writing this post right now.

In this post I want to give a clear message that, yes!, you must work and you must work after you finished work and then some more, and even you have to sacrifice sleep sometimes to make sure certain things are done, to make sure you come one step closer to your dreams whatever they may be, but do not fool yourself into thinking that you are a robot!

You must take into account all resources that you have and just like your bank account, just like your taxes, your apartment, your computer and all the other tools you use to help you achieve your goals, your body is also a tool and, more than that, it is a critically important tool.
  • You could make do without a calculator, you could do it in Excel.
  • You can make do with only some cloths with some extra effort in laundry.
  • You can make do in a smaller apartment where space is limited with a better organization.
  • But you will be completely blocked if you damage your mind or if you damage your body!
So realize that your body is an absolutely required tool in order to achieve your dreams and keep it running smoothly. Don't put in it junk food, don't force it beyond its limitations. Do challenge it! Do keep pushing the borders and teach it to withstand more and more pain and discomfort and hard work, etc, but be sensitive enough to not overdo it or you will risk losing everything you have worked hard for and then some more.
